| | Comments (0)

A defense lawyer for the suspected killer of Hannah "Honey" Jordan rested his case Monday in San Bernardino Superior Court.
Defendant Hector Aguirre is on trial for the deadly shooting and carjacking of Honey Jordan at a Highland Avenue doughnut shop on New Years Eve 2001. The victim is the wife of well-known local neurologist Dr. Kenneth Jordan.
Lawyer Speros Maniates announced he rested his case, after calling defendant-turned-witness Ruben Garcia to the witness stand Monday afternoon, according to Superior Court records.
Aguirre did not testify in his own defense, the records indicate.
Deputy District Attorney Robert Bulloch could not be immediately reached for comment.
Lawyers in the case returned to court today to discuss jury instructions, and the trial is expected to resume at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
