We just got word from the District Attorney's Office that Phillip Terrence Johnson, 64, of Landers was arrested today by investigators with the Public Integrity Unit of the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office.

The arrest follows a two and a half month investigation, District Attorney's officials said. Johnson, who is president of the Big Horn Desert View Water Agency, was charged with two felony counts and one misdemeanor count of recording confidential communications.

More to come. And here it is, from colleague and Sun Staff Writer Jason Pesick.
