Professional clown pleads guilty to molestation charges

A Fontana man who performed as a clown named "Trim-Trim" at birthdays and other events throughout Southern California for more than a decade has agreed to plead guilty to child molestation charges.

David Albert Lemus, 51, was originally arrested in 2005 after two girls between the ages of 12 and 14 told police that Lemus molested them at the National Orange Show fairgrounds in San Bernandino.

During a hearing Friday in Fontana Superior Court, Lemus agreed to plead guilty to charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and oral copulation by threat, both felonies.

Five additional felony molestation charges will be dismissed as part of Lemus's plea bargain.

Lemus is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 2 in Fontana Superior Court.
