The arraignment hearing scheduled today for a Pomona woman accused of drowning her 5-year-old son in a hotel bathtub was postponed to Dec. 2 in Pomona Superior Court.

Pomona police said Josie Stephanie Navarro, 23, drowned Edgar Manuel Sanchez Monday at the Comfort Inn, 1421 S. Garey Ave., before trying to take her own life by ingesting sleeping pills.

She was arrested Tuesday after she was released from Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.

The district attorney's office filed two felony charges against Navarro Tueday: murder and assault on a child causing death.

Navarro remains in police custody in lieu of $1 million bail.
