Clown to be sentenced in molestation case Thursday in Fontana

A Fontana man who performed as a clown named "Trim-Trim" at birthdays and other events for more than a decade is set to be sentenced Thursday in a child molestation case.

David Albert Lemus, 51, pleaded guilty to charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child and oral copulation by threat, both felonies, under the terms of a plea bargain on Sept. 5 in Fontana Superior Court.

Lemus was arrested in 2005 after two girls between the ages of 12 and 14 told police that Lemus molested them at the National Orange Show fairgrounds in San Bernandino.

Five other felony molestation charges will be dismissed as part of Lemus' agreement.
