Trial proceedings were scheduled to get underway today for Alberto "Beto" Oropeza Delgadillo who faces charges in the deaths of two men whose bodies were found on a Yucaipa road in 2006.

Sheriff's deputies arrested the 23-year-old Delgadillo on suspicion of fatally shooting two men whose bodies were left on the dirt shoulder in the 32000 block of Live Oak Canyon Road on Dec. 18, 2006.

The victims were Pedro Sanchez, 53, and Salvador Felix, 31, according to Sheriff's officials.

Lawyers in the case announced Friday that they were ready for trial in San Bernardino Superior Court. However, the case was moved to the courtroom of Judge Brian McCarville.

The bodies were found about a mile south of the 10 Freeway, in Yucaipa. Residents there reported hearing gunshots about 8:30 p.m. and a minivan, that wasn't running well, leave the area.
