Two people have been arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting a 24-year-old Ontario man Saturday, and leaving Jessie Diaz dead in the area of Pearl Street east of Park Avenue in Pomona.
Police detectives arrested Juan Carlos Arredondo , 26, and Delia Mora , 39, both of Pomona, according to a Pomona police news release.
A search warrant was served Sunday in Pomona as part of a homicide investigation.
Arredondo and Mora were arrested that day.
Detectives presented their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and murder charges are pending against Arredondo and Mora , police said.
The investigation began after Pomona police responded at 3:39 a.m. Saturday to the 600 block of Park Avenue after receiving calls about a shooting victim.
There they found Diaz suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers performed CPR while waiting for Los Angeles County fire paramedics to arrive, authorities said.
The victim died at the scene.
Homicide detectives were called to begin an investigation.
Diaz was shot as he walked from a friend's house.
Police have still not confirmed the motive.
