Assemblywoman Wilmer Amina Carter, D-Rialto, is holding her "There Ought to Be a Law" contest for the second-straight year.
Anyone who lives or goes to school in her assembly district - Rialto, Colton, Muscoy, Bloomington and parts of Fontana and San Bernardino - can sent Carter an idea for new legislation.
"Whatever your ideas, I want to hear from you," Carter said.
Carter will introduce the winning idea as legislation in the 2008-09 session. The winner will also get to be involved in the legislative process, get a tour of the State Capitol, a plaque and lunch with Carter.
All entries must be postmarked by Nov. 30. Call Carter's office at (909) 820-5008 or visit her Web site for an application.
