Prosecutors charged an Ontario man with seven additional felony sex crimes Thursday after his alleged victims testified at a preliminary hearing in West Valley Superior Court.

Rudy Dalton Beltran, 28, is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and carrying on a consensual sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl. Both girls testified Tuesday that Beltran lied to them about his age.

On Thursday, Deputy District Attorney Karen Schmauss filed new charges against Beltran including two counts of committing a lewd act on a child, four counts unlawful sex with a minor, and one count of sodomy with a minor.

Beltran is now charged with a total of 14 felonies, and potentially faces a prison sentence of 56 years if convicted on all counts, Schmauss said.

The 16-year-old girl testified Tuesday that she and Beltran dated from about January to July this year.

The 14-year-old girl lived across the street from the other girl in an Ontario mobile-home park.

The 14-year -old girl testified that Beltran climbed into her bedroom through an open window in the early morning of July 31, then raped her.

Schmauss said she filed additional charges against Beltran because more crimes against the two girls were apparent after Tuesday's testimony.
