Norris Anthony Crawford was sentenced to six years in state prison for his part in the 2007 deadly shooting of 20-year-old Edward Griffin.

Under the terms of a Nov. 26 plea bargain, Crawford pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter and a special allegation. He was sentenced Dec. 22 in San Bernardino Superior Court.

Crawford received credit for 785 days, equating to more than two years, for time already served in county jail.

Griffin was shot to death inside a vehicle at the intersection of Medical Center Drive and Ninth Street, in San Bernardino, on Feb. 9, 2007. Another man in the vehicle was wounded.

A jury found Crawford, 29, not guilty of charges of murder and attempted murder at a trial in August and September. But it deadlocked on lesser charges against him.

Co-defendant Patrick Shaun Macon, 28, was sentenced to 23 years and four months in state prison earlier this month. A third man, Marsean Lamont Macon, 36, was aquitted of charges against him.
