An Ontario man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl and carrying on a consensual sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl pleaded not guilty to 14 felony sex charges Thursday in West Valley Superior Court.

Rudy Dalton Beltran, 28, faces up to 56 years in prison if convicted on all the charges, seven of which were filed in the wake of last month's preliminary hearing.

At last month's hearing, testimony from the two alleged victims uncovered additional sex crimes, leading to the new charges, prosecutors said.

Beltran and the 16-year-old girl dated from about January to July this year, the girl testified last month.

The girl Beltran allegedly raped was the 16-year-old girl's neighbor. Both lived at an Ontario mobile-home park.

Beltran remains jailed in lieu of $2 million bail.

He is scheduled to next appear in court on Jan. 9, with a trial date tentatively set Thursday for Jan. 26.
