Felony animal cruelty charges were filed by the Riverside County District Attorney's office Tuesday against the Los Angeles County assistant fire chief accused of beating his neighbor's puppy with a rock in November.

Glynn Damon Johnson, 54, of Riverside, was arrested Tuesday by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, according to a district attorney's office news release.

The district attorney's office requested a $10,000 bail for Johnson. If convicted, he could receive four years in state prison, according to the news release.

It's about damned time they arrested him. Oh, I forgot, they needed to do a thorough investigation, or were they praying for it to just go away. It's not like they didn't have an eye witness. And he does have a history of animal abuse (the dog he shot with a bb gun) and Lord know how many other animals he's hurt.

Anyone that hurts a child, a senior citizen, or a defenseless animal, needs to be put down. Sick jackazzes.

I say upon conviction, beat him with a rock, shoot him in the ass with a BB gun, then then send him to prison for the maximum time allowed. People who do such things are truly the cowards of the earth. They have no place within decent society, and will be sorted out, and punished by God. I wonder if the idiot mayor of LA will have the character to fire him.

This guy is a poor excuse for a man... even his own co-workers have written in saying what an ass he is. It's obvious that he is a very sick person, and will probably never change.

Maybe he needs to be beaten with a rock and then put down.

My only hope is that what people say is true, and that karma is a bitch.
