Jury seated in 2003 Fontana murder case

FONTANA -- A jury was seated Wednesday to hear the murder case of a Bloomington man accused of shooting and killing a Rialto man in 2003.

Brian Gary Cullens, 47, was identified by an eyewitness as the man responsible for killing Donald Marshall, 41, according to authorities.

Marshall's charred remains were discovered in June 2003 after firefighters extinguished a brush fire in the hills near Alder and Jurupa avenues, authorities said.

Twelve jurors and four alternate jurors were sworn in Wednesday following jury selection in Fontana Superior Court.

Attorney are scheduled to deliver opening statements in the case on Tuesday, according to online court records.
