Ontario man pleads no contest in molestation case
RANCHO CUCAMONGA -- An Ontario man has pleaded no contest to a felony assault charge in his criminal case for allegedly touching a 5-year-old boy's genitals.
Sukhwinder Singh, 18, reached a plea bargain with prosecutors Friday that carries a 240-day jail sentence that he can complete through weekend work release.
In September, a 5-year-old boy told police that Singh touched him several times as both swam in a pool at an apartment complex at 1352 W. Fifth St.
The plea bargain, which must be approved by a judge, includes five years of probation, during which Singh would be required to register as a sex offender.
Singh is scheduled to be sentenced May 3 in West Valley Superior Court.
When he was interviewed by an Ontario police detective, Singh, a native of India, denied he touched the boy's genitals. He told police he tickled the boy because he wanted to make friends with him.
A 7-year-old friend of the alleged victim testified at an October preliminary hearing that he saw Singh put his hands inside his friend's bathing suit.
In plea bargain papers attached to Singh's court file, prosecutors say they will agree to allow Singh to expunge his record if he completes probation without any violations.
Singh, who was born in Chandigarh, India, told police he moved into the apartment complex in mid-August and was a student at Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga.

Two things has not been clarified to me despite my emphasis on my introspective noesis and these are as follows Firstly, you have almost invariably projected yourself as Hanuman,Darjee, Sewak etc. of Mulayam Singh i.e. subservient to him. But why are you not committed to the 'cause' (in larger perspective) of the party without which Swami' and Sewak' both shall cease to be relevant? You ingratiated to MSY but remain/became indifferent to rest of the colleagues in the party. Hanuman had never been controversial among the flock of Ram and far more beloved for them . As Darjee you have stitched the mantle for MSY but tagged the button' of that kind which he may not be able to open. Now only way to put off the Labada is to tear it . Had you internalized MSY as leader you would certainly have striven to nurture entire aura of the politics handmaiden to the growth of 'socialism' and common good. But (as i think) you took him(MSY)as power potential. In view of the specific structure of the SP you would have tried to ensure some measures of course correction to MSY because he is the only figure to command the larger/sole appeal in his party. Conclusively, you didn't bother about the holistic growth of the party before some other interests. Secondly, you are a political figure and having a lineage (even might be pseudo) of socialism. India per se is a country blessed with highly pluralistic nature of the society and which has adopted the democracy as its pattern of governance. You have prefixed your blog as Thakur ' . I leave this puzzle' on you to straighten out that how this symbolism may be either in sync with socialism or acclaimed democratic ethos. The person having the persona like you must behave at least at the level of rhetoric in tandem with the generally acknowledged norms of democratic demeanour . Probably you might have been knowing that Dr. Lohia used to abstinent and critical to address anyone as Babu Sahab' because it reeks of feudalism. Hope that you will project some more serious issues posed to the country rather than your present feud.
