Fontana DMV worker pleads guilty to felony
FONTANA -- A former Department of Motor Vehicles employee accused of falsifying records pleaded guilty to a felony this week as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Felicia Fuller, 32, of Victorville, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to computer access and fraud. She is expected to be placed on probation for three years and serve no additional jail time.
If Fuller fails to appear for sentencing in Fontana Superior Court on May 18, she could be sentenced to three years in state prison.
The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office filed a 12-count complaint against Fuller in December following a DMV investigation into her alleged falsification of records.
According to report of the DMV investigation contained in Fuller's court file, Fuller changed one man's DMV record to make it appear he'd passed the written test needed to obtain a driver's license.
The man told investigators be paid a third party between $100 and $200 to have his record illegally modified.
Fuller was also accused of creating fake IDs for a wanted criminal, inputting the man's aliases as his true name, according to the report in her court file.
Fuller worked at the DMV for six years before resigning amid the investigation into her alleged crimes, which according to prosecutors were committed between March 12, 2009 and July 28, 2009. Her job title was "motor vehicle field representative."
