Mark Tennis of calhisports.com does rankings right. Among his state Top 50 football teams from this general area are: 9. North, 23. Norco, 32. Vista Murrieta, 38, Redlands East Valley, 48. Colton. Actually, The Sun poll picked Colton No. 1 in the county, ahead of REV. Hmmmm. What do you think? What will happen Sept. 14 when REV visits Colton?

Let the woofin' begin. Here are Prep-dog's fearless picks for Week 0 of the prep football season. So if you're a coach, get all those cliches ready like "We get no respect" and "The only people who expect us to win are right here in this room" and other assorted predictable, but occasionally effective laments. But remember, even if you're an underdog, you are by definition canine and so the Prep-dog still likes you. Here we go ...

Woof

Prep-dog here, welcoming you to the Sun's new high school sports blog. I'll be sniffing out stories and digging up anecdotes for your edification. Occasionally, the dog will do a little woofing, as well. And before you get all weird on me, Prep-dog is in no way affiliated with Redlands, Ayala or any other school employing a canine as a mascot. So settle down REV fans ... I have you covered. Check back often, because the dog is prolific and often nocturnal.
