Our intrepid High Desert reporter, Jim Long, tells us that new Ridgecrest Burroughs football coach Wayne Gracey played at Victor Valley College.
In fact, Gracey played on the Rams' two most successful football teams of the 1990s - 5-5 in 1992 and 3-7 in '93.
Ah, the dog recalls those halcyon days ... the touchdowns, the big hits, P.A. announcer Bill Greulich's pressbox quips. It almost makes us nostalgic for Pearl Jam and flannel shirts.
