All hail, Dean
The Cajon girls and the Arroyo Valley boys cross country teams won Wednesday's San Andreas League mimi-meet at Colton. The results catapult Prep-dog reader Dean to grand exalted seer status, probably supplanting the dog himself.
Alert Prep-dog readers (perhaps an oxymoron) may recall that Dean predicted the order of the SAL mini meet, based upon his review of the Woodbridge Invitational.
Dean hit the nose on the girls with his forecast of: 1. Cajon, 2. San Gorgonio, 3. Pacific, 4. San Bernardino, 4. Arroyo Valley, 6. Colton.
In boys, the results were: 1. Arroyo Valley, 2. San Gorgonio, 3. Cajon, 4. Pacific, 5. San Bernardino, 6. Colton.
Dean also called that, with the exception that he had San Bernardino finishing ahead of Pacific. Still impressive.
Just one question, Dean-o, will the 49ers cover the spread this Sunday against the Steelers?
But enough nonsense, here are the individual results:
BOYS
1. Hector Gomez (AV) 16:31, 2. George Estrada (AV) 16:33, 3. Jesse Suarez (Ca.) 16:41, 4. Manuel Gutierrez (P) 16:54, 5. Andrew Duenez (Ca.) 16:54, 6. John Blum (SB) 16:51, 7. Michael Miranda (SG) 17:27, 8. Tim Abarca (AV) 17:29, 9. Jose Alamilla (SG) 17:31, 10. Jimi Alade Chester (SG) 17:39.
GIRLS
1. America Valdez (P) 19:48, 2. Nikki Chestnut (Ca.) 19:57, 3. Lauren Nilla (Ca.) 20:26, 4. Antoinette Padilla (SG) 20:44, 5. Danae Vartanian (AV) 20:58, 6. Rebekah Frazier (Ca.) 21:06, 7. Courtney McCabe (SB) 21:18, 8. Berenis Valenzuela (SB) 21:20, 9. Michelle Succow (Ca.) 21:32, 10. Ariana Martinez (SG) 21:37.

Mr. Dog
I do thank you for giving me my "props" as I said anyone can predict football games. Well legendary coach John Arient (a former soccer and volleyball coach) must have sandbagged their runners @ Woodbridge...to surpise Berdoo's longest serving Coach John Hinkleman in the Boy's race. I will not make that mistake again. I do happen to be tied for first place in my local pool that has several HS Football Coaches and ADs participating. As for the 49ers, its always a safe bet to go against Fontana unless they are playing Banning! this is prep sports right?
Dean,
Lemme get this straight ... in the opinion of the Grand Exalted Seer, do ya think anyone can pick football games?
Anyone can predict, but only a few of us can get most of them right! By the way what was up with that Redlands v Rev Tennis score 15-3 yet the scoreline did not add up that way! It looks like Redlands with their "countywide singles talent" from Bloomington and San Bernardino will be the class of the CBL....Thanks to the transfer rules huh?
Grand exalted seer,
I don't have today's sheet in front of me, so I am not able to comment on rev vs. redlands tennis agate (small type).
As for your volley at Terrier tennis, I will let RHS folks return that one.
