The Granite Hills at Ridgecrest Burroughs football game scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday appears to be on, said Cougars athletic director Carolyn Ruhm.

"The air quality is better up there," Ruhm said.

Ruhm added that it is homecoming for Burroughs. She said she will call Burroughs athletic director Don Crouse on Friday just to make sure all systems are go.

Most games involving county teams have been postponed, switched or canceled due to the recent wildfires and bad air quality, but Ridgecrest is so far removed from the fires that air quality is not an issue at Burroughs.
