Today's question
The CIF-State since last season has conducted state playoff bowl games in football, matching North and South teams in three divisions.
The Southern California representatives won all three games last season, although De La Salle will almost for sure be back to represent NorCal in Division I this season and should be a good match for whomever represents SoCal.
But what about these state playoff bowls? Are they a good idea - a great opportunity for the players and a treat for the fans, as well as a stream of revenue? Or do they stretch out the season too much for players that are almost working out year-long for their sport already?

The state playoffs/championships are lame. It's not even a real playoff/championship game, just three games picked by a committee. This is no better and a lot worse than the BCS. Heck, just call it the BS. Either do it right or don't do it at all.

With thousands of high schools in California I dont see any other way it can be done except by commitee. I personally can not argue with the teams they selected for last years games, I watched all 3 games and I thought they were all played at a very high level and were very exciting. I think a couple of those teams could give some colleges a run for there money. California high school football is as good or better then anywhere in the nation.
