On the volleyball trail

The dog ventured to the East Valley on Tuesday night to watch REV play Monrovia in volleyball.

Monrovia had some athletic girls, but couldn't keep pace with the tall and talented Wildcats.

REV 6-3 sophomore middle hitter Tori Brummet is back from a dislocated knee and a sprained ankle, but hasn't practiced much. She made some limited contributions.

Fortunately for REV, it has plenty of girls to pick up the slack. On Tuesday night it was senior Jenn Nessef, who had seven kills and two blocks. Freshman Krista Vansant also did her part with 15 kils.

The Wildcats are the best team in the greater San Bernardino area, but may be a year away from making a big impact in the playoffs - especially with Brummett still rounding back into shape.

What do you think? Can REV or another county team make a deep foray into the playoffs?
