Centennial's Burfict commits to USC

Corona Centennial junior linebacker Vontaze Burfict verbally committed to USC today, reports scout.com.

Burfict had told various media outlets he would commit to the Trojans as soon as offered. He has been ranked the No. 9 player in the nation for the class of 2009 by fvsports.com.

As a junior, the 6-2, 235-pound Burfict had 162 tackles.

He led the Huskies to the CIF-State Division I bowl game, where they narrowly lost to De La Salle.
