| | Comments (0)

James Gordon, 37, was named Wednesday as the new football coach at Indio High School, Indio athletic secretary Fran Espinoza told the Prep-dog today.

Gordon succeeds athletic director Ovidio Machado as the Rajahs' coach. Machado coached the team for the past 12 seasons.

Indio went 5-5 in 2007 under Machado, but has generally struggled for the past decade.

Gordon was the Rajahs offensive coordinator the past two seasons.
