Today's question ... what is the toughest prep sport?

| | Comments (5)

Football?
Wrestling?
Cross country?
Swimming?
Badminton?

Which sport is the most strenuous, takes the most training and requires the most determination? Does its athletes wear shoulder pads, singlets, waffle-soled shoes, Speedos or do they hit shuttlecocks? And why? Tell the Prep-dog.

By the way, the fact that former Colton badminton coach Sandi Guidi used to give her players penny candy during matches does not eliminate the shuttlecock set.

Wrestling by far is the most difficult. A combat sport where athletes maintan weight throughout the winter when others are "fattening up:. departure times at 6am for 16 hour days in a gym where you have to compete up to 5 times throughout a day. you really must be joking with this one John.

what about waterpolo? In wrestling, if you get tired you roll over and get pinned. In waterpolo, you get tired you roll over and someone better call 911 because the alternative is just bad.

I would have to put water polo as my toughest.... I have always seen them as being the best conditioned athletes.

Prep-dog forgot about water polo. Yeah, that's probably up there with wrestling.
