Vista Murrieta was capitalized on every mistake the Grizzlies made Friday night. All Los Osos football games can be heard on www.sportsnetusa.net with Steve Hassler.

Lawrence Larivee put up big numbers on defense at the MIC for the Ayala Bulldogs against Los Altos High School, sparking 14 unanswered 2nd quarter points when he hit the Los Altos running back in the backfield for a 5 yard loss after Ayala coughed up the ball the series before. Ayala was down 0-3 at the time.
Ayala defeated Los Altos 21-19 and keeps rolling, now 3-1, headed home to host South El Monte, 2-1.

How about Lawrence's teammates ... did they play any part in the victory?

Well John,

Sorry to get back to your ? late. Courtney Samuel rushed for 101 yards on 20 carries with 2 TD's. Ayala's other TD came from a 50 yard inerception return by Corbin Butler.

The Ayala Bulldogs (6-1, 2-0) defense, lead by Senior Linebacker and now part time Tight End, Lawrence Larivee, held the Diamond Bar Brahmas (3-4, 0-2) to big goose egg.

Larivee came up big all night leading the defense in tackles and pressuring Brahma Senior Quarterback Hunter Warren. Larivee had 3 sacks, accounted for almost 20 negative yards, 8-10 tackles, caused 3 fumbles, hurried Warren twice leading to 2 picks by the secondary. One sack in the end zone caused Warren to fumble for a Ryan Castro TD. On offense Larivee had 1 reception for 30 plus yards.

The Bulldog offense put up good numbers virtually scoring at will with the excellent field position given to them by the defense. The Offense scored on every possession but one, with the defense accounting for one TD score of its own.

Junior Quarterback Dylan Lada had probably his best game of the season leading the offense with 2 TD passes. David Quiroga and Courtney Samuels each ran for TD’s, Quiroga scoring on amazing 40 yard plus run. Ryan Castro fumble recovery in the end zone accounted for the fifth TD. The rest of the points were rounded out by Sophomore Kicker, Jacob Osborne, who had 2 field goals and 4 extra points.

The Bulldog defense has tightened up helping the offense to come into it’s own and if the Defense continues to get better the will be a formidable force come playo
