Cajon 54, Sultana 21

| | Comments (0)

The Cowboys stepped on the gas early and didn't let up much en route to a blowout win over the Sultans, avenging last season's loss in the High Desert.

Cajon led 40-0 early in the third quarter.

Backup quarterback Thomas Carter stepped in and completed 6-of-7 passes for 164 yards and four scores, including a 63-yard scoring toss to Notre Dame recruit Marlon Pollard for Cajon's first score.

Cajon tight end Mark Salaiz had two catches for 62 yards and two scores.

Sultana running back Justin Pele ran for 117 yards on 21 carries and three scores.

Also, Prep-dog reader "Bloomertown" reports that Colton defeated La Quinta 13-7. Good win for the Yellowjackets, assuming that's accurate. Update: Bloomertown's report is accurate ... 'jackets win.

Stay tuned for a scoring list, as the results come in.
