REV breaks into state football rankings

Concord De La Salle (2-0), after narrowly escaping upsets at the hands of San Mateo Serra and Los Angeles Loyola, is still ranked No. 1 in the state in football by calhisports.com.

Long Beach Poly (2-0) is No. 2 and Corona Centennial (2-0) is No. 3. Centennial had an impressive 47-35 win over Santa Ana Mater Dei last week and is at Clovis West on Friday night.

Besides Centennial, other area teams in the top 25 are No. 22 Los Osos (2-0) and No. 23 Redlands East Valley (2-0). The Wildcats were unranked last week.

Los Osos is at 3-0 Vista Murrieta on Friday night. REV is at Compton Dominguez on Friday night.
