REV football ranked ninth in CIF-SS

Sectionsports.com has ranked Long Beach Poly No. 1 in the CIF-SS. The Jackrabbits defeated Miami Northwestern 29-7 on Aug. 30.

The Web site has Corona Centennial ranked second. The Huskies open Friday night at No. 11 Temecula Chaparral.

Redlands East Valley is rated ninth. The Wildcats open on Friday by hosting No. 15 North, coached by former REV assistant and Yucaipa head coach Scott Pearne. .

Upland is ranked 19th. The Highlanders defeated Colony 42-7 last week and play Glendora at Citrus College on Friday night.

Also cracking the Top 25 were: Vista Murrieta (20th), Los Osos (21st) and Rancho Verde (22nd).

Is that about right for REV, or is it ranked too highly? Too low? How will REV fair against North and its new coach Scott Pearne?
