SCORE: Workman: 27 Montclair: 32

Where: Montclair High school

Records: Workman Lobos: 2-0 Montclair Cavaliers: 1-1

What Happened: Workman coming off a 42-12 win over Keppel HS controlled the clock most of the game. However, situation penalties, dropped passes and when faced with several 4th down plays opted to go for it and the defense of Montclair kept the Cavaliers in the game.

Standouts: In a losing effort RB for Workman #5 Kalin Bradford was the workhorse with over 200 total yards on offense and 3 touchdowns.

Big plays by the Workman offense led by QB Brian Chang and the Receiving corps. of Shawn Abbott, Lafayette Cole and RB Doug Hopkins was solid all night.

Key Moment: Montclair’s defense all night and key interception late in the 4th qtr by Cav’s DB Ramon Sucilla. And two big receptions of 35 each by Edgar Bueno that led to Montclair’s final touchdown

Quotable: Head Coach Rick Ward Montclair“We got it done tonight and we need to practice more of what game situations present and real live ball handling”

Next: Montclair @ Nogales ------ Workman VS Bassett
