Wicks, Donovan contribute, but Galaxy falls

Cajon High School graduate Josh Wicks made his second goalkeeping start for the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday as the Galaxy lost to the Kansas City Wizards 2-0 at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Wizards scored two goals in two minutes in the second half.

The Galaxy has now lost 12 consecutive games.

Josh Wolff and Davy Arnaud scored for the Wizards.

Wicks showed his ability, deflecting a free kick in the 64th minute.

Redlands East Valley High School product Landon Donovan had a chance at a goal in the 12th minute, but it was rejected.

Wicks, after his high school graduation, played for four years at Cal State University Bakersfield.
