Marianne Milligan will have a star-studded campaign fundraiser Sept. 13 ...

The newcomer to the city who is challenging controversial City Attorney James F. Penman in the November election sent out a 2:30 p.m. press release boasting Mayor Pat Morris, former Mayor Judith Valles and Arrowhead Credit Union boss Larry Sharp on her reception at Ray's Downtown Deli on E Street.
Rumors have swirled since Monday that Morris will publicly endorse Milligan in an attempt to bolster her chances of unseating Penman, with whom Morris has clashed repeatedly.
Morris may also announce backing for other candidates. He has so far announced support for 6th Ward Councilman Rikke Van Johnson and 3rd Ward Councilman Tobin Brinker.
