The buck stops with Mike Valles

| | Comments (4) |

Well, yesterday, we brought up the fact that niether Rachel Clark nor former Mayor Judith Valles could or would answer questions about whether a hard-hitting letter written by Valles was sent only to voters with Hispanic surnames.

The letter, which all but calls Turner a racist against Hispanics and suggests he would turn the office into a branch of the INS, has been rumored to have been targeted solely to households with Hispanic names.

Yesterday, Clark said Valles "wrote it and sent it," speaking about the letter. Valles said she wrote it, but that Clark's campaign committee sent it without her knowledge of where or to whom.

Turns out the campaign is run by Mike Valles, Judith Valles' brother. Mike Valles hasn't answered calls yet today.

Clark still has the benefit of the doubt, but if the letter was sent only to Hispanics, it would be an example of race-based, scare-mongering politics of the lowest order.

Mr. Rogers,

If you need evidence of Turner's racist views, check out www.IvoryPower.com and see who is helping him raise money for his city clerk campaign.

Pretty disgusting.

I voted for Turner said:

I voted for Ragin' Joe Turner, but don't believe the rumors that the mailer was only sent to those with Spanish surnames. It was sent to my home, and no voter in my home has a Spanish surname. More likely, it was sent to likely voters, or even more likely, it was sent to registered Democrats or Decline To State / Non-Partisan registrants. How about reporting facts instead of rumors and innuendo? Give voters some credit. And point out that Chris Jones is Clark's consultant.

You pointing out that Chris Jones is Clark's consultant is erroneous. Didn't you read the last couple of blogs by Rogers? Mike Valles is Clark's consultant. He runs the dirtiest, most sleazy campaigns ever!

Mr. Rogers,

I wish you would dig into the other mailer sent out, by the Clark campaign.

The website "IvoryPower.com" is not a racist site, quite odd I will admit, but not what I call racist. The rest of it is half truths and out right lies.

It states that Mr. Turner attended a KKK rally, he did not. It was an SOS rally that the KKK crashed. They were asked to leave, they would not. The police would not make them leave, due to their first amendment rights that protect all of us including the KKK.

It goes on to say that Mr. Turner is a "criminal", showing him being hand cuffed. Those charges were dropped, due to the fact that self defense is NOT a crime, and there was no evidence of any battery taking place! The perpetrator of the "set-up" is a known instigator, and member of A.N.S.W.E.R.LA. They are a group of admitted Socialists and anarchists.

The "sources" of
"information", used for the mailer, are very questionable in themselves! Indy Media, "Southern Law Center"; actually the correct name is Southern Poverty Law Center. These groups are anti-American, in my opinion, and anti-enforcement. Anyone that believes our immigration laws should be enforced can end up on their list of racist/hate groups.

Please look into this, Mr. Rogers. Prove me right, or prove me wrong; either way...Clark's campaign stinks to high heaven!
