The San Bernardino Public Library and the Academy of Public Scholars
will co-sponsor the 2008 Summer Reading and Book Fair, themed "Where have all the bookstores gone." Click below for more details ...


The fair will be held Saturday, June 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center at California State University San Bernardino.

Admission is free!

For two days the Student Union Events Center will house thousands of
new andused, unusual, rare, collectible and general-reading books, sold by
scores of local and regional independent sellers. Online, brick-and-mortar,
and casual booksellers will display their treasured titles for sale at
the book faire available at lower prices than the mega-chain supermarkets with
types of books you'll never see anywhere else.

This year's theme is "Where Have All the Bookstores Gone?" Come see
the "Vanishing Bookstore Project." Authors, posters, food and hourly
contests will add to the festivities.

Anyone interested in more information or helping with duties such as
promoting the event, distributing posters and flyers, collecting
admissions, vendor coordination, fair set-up, and/or general assistance is
