Glenn Baude off the job
High-level sources have confirmed today that Glenn Baude was placed on paid administrative leave on Saturday.
Baude came under heavy criticism with the arrest of Operation Phoenix Center Manager Mike Miller.
Most recently, it was revealed by a District Attorney's report that Baude and City Manager Fred Wilson had directly contradictory accounts for the DAs investigators.
No word yet on the reason Baude is on leave, but answers are coming.

If I were the betting sort I'd put money on Fred Wilson being a liar and making Glenn the fall guy! Granted Glenn talks too much and sometimes says inappropriat things, but he's not a liar. I dont' trust Fred. Glenn isn't the first employee he's thrown under the wheel!
When this is finally over and settled from the City actions and from the courts actions, to get anyone to work in SB at the Director level, Human Resources will have to travel to Fairbanks Alaska or Orlando Florida or Portland Maine to find someone brave enough to take on the available jobs. Qualifications will be secondary to finding a brave soul willing to jump into this mess the City has on their hands. Recovery is now predicted to take a long time because creditability is shot.
Fred Wilson has spent most of his career dodging responsiblity and not taking a stand. It has been as if he is a ghost. Where has he been on this issue he supervises department heads but he seems have no knowledge of what is going on. I believe he would lie on his mother to cover his rear. He demand a high salary but denies money to the employees who really do the job. He projects an air of arrogance and acts as if he looks down on the people of San Bernardino. He gives us little hope for leadership. We need a change in the highest level of staff to change this city. We needed a leader not a week kneeded liar.
Fred Wilson lied to the Police Union, lied to the Fire Union and every union he has negotiated with. So why wouldn't he lie to the DA's office? He has always kept the City Council in the dark and manipulates information to keep his job. I always thought there was someone hiding out onh the Phoenix thing behind the scenes really pulling the strings. Time for him to answer questions to the public.
If this keeps up I wouldn't be surprise if a large prostitution ring involving the at-risk children in our community was uncovered.
You all are forgetting who Wilson works for, is hired and fired by and who (it sure looks like) he is covering for and it isn't Baude. I sure hope the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God will come out soon. Otherwise the cloud is looming over Morris' pure lack of the right kind of leadership.
While Glenn has a lot to be accountable for, it appears that he was telling the truth to the DA when he told them that he did in fact tell City Manager Fred Wilson on June 30th about the allegations of molestation.
First, it appeared Hawkins was going to take the fall. Then Baude started getting hammered. Now it appears that City Manager Fred Wilson has played a significant role in all of this.
There is only one more rung up the ladder this thing can go.
At this point, there are only two fundamental scenarios:
Either the Mayor is lying when he says he never knew about any of these things or he was woefully out of touch and has absolutely no control over anything at City Hall.
