Mayor Morris......too little, too late. We are not stupid. We can all read between the lines.

I have lost all respect for you and your Operation Phoenix Program. You want responsibilty for this mess, then here goes. You were entrusted with the saftey of our child and have failed them. That is all that counts in my book.

So his honor's friends at PD and the DA's cleared his naughty employees of all "legal" responsibility. What about their moral responsibility? You hear a "rumor" that there is some type of illicit sexual relationship going on with a child in your organization and what do you do? Rush to report? Nah, you go to San Diego, you come home and then when the Police Department calls you asking for the perps employee file, you talk.

Now the mayor "reminds" us that "there are problems and I accept full responsibility for addressing them". Really? How magnanimous of him. What of his moral responsibility? This is his idea, his project, his responsibility however he can not accept the responsibility for this mess - not addressing the mess, the responsibility for the victimization of 3 young girls - on his watch.

Then, after the fiasco of watching his employees point the finger at each other, we watch the master of finger-pointing level his at the City Attorney for releasing e-mails that any compentent reporter, like Anthony or Robert, could use the Public Records Act to obtain. And "his honor" does this publicly - just like his employees did in the newspaper.

Shame on you Pat Morris - you make me sick!

Wow, just three years after he became mayor, Morris is going to rush to the ramparts to make sure that children are safe and that city departments don't resemble Animal House!
Not a very fast learner!
Of course, the real villian (as always) is that wicked city attorney who keeps casting light upon the cesspool in City Hall. I guess if Penman could only learn to sit in his ivory tower and look the other way, everything would be hunky-dory.
