Mike Miller: Not talkin'
Went to West Valley Detention Center for a third jailhouse conversation with accused child molester Mike Miller.
Not to be. Miller saw me and turned and walked away. A wasted morning. I hate going to the dungeon-like detention facility and leaving empty-handed. Not sure why he suddenly doesn't want to talk.
Maybe he didn't like my neck-tie?

I can understand why a man locked up alone charged with molestation would walk away from you, even he may have enough judgement to identify scum
Thanks for that Bruce. I suppose if some people didn't like me, I wouldn't be doing my job.
But "scum"? Why not explain your reasoning further.
Robert Rogers
Serenah,
Look, if you think I would make "deals" with Morris (the man who has been under fire due to the reportage of me and my colleague), that is your perogative. If I'm making "deals" with Morris, he's probably wondering why the heck the editorials and stories have been so withering to his program over the past few weeks.
On the witness, we did not identify anyone. We merely provided a public document to our readers. Get your "facts" right.
As for the connections you allege, I told you I'd look into them. I also told you that I didn't consider you a reliable source because, frankly, you struck me as unreasonable and incapable of a rational conversation.
Later, I had to erase a comment you made about Kevin Hawkins' photo because it struck me as crossing the line into bigotry.
So, there is a simple response. You are welcome, indeed invited, to read and post, just don't make racist comments.
Robert Rogers
More than likely he didn't know it was you when he was told he had a visitor. Perhaps he was hoping to see a more firendly (i.e. family?) (NOt that you'r not a nice guy - I've met you many times and you were always very polite!)face? He's probably been advised by council to keep his mouth shut!
Thanks Shan! Yeah, it was just a bit surprising because we've talked in jail twice before ...
Thanks for reading and writing ...
Robert Rogers
Though I can't imagine why you'd be wearing a tie in July, Robert!
Serenah,
Last I checked, not being "caucasian" isn't evidence of not being racist.
The truth is you can have your opinions and post them all you want. Just, like I said before, don't make comments that appear to any reasonable people to be bigoted.
As for Witness #2 losing a job over the DA report, I simply don't believe you. You've cried wolf too many times.
If, however, someone at parks and rec really did lose their job over providing anonymous information to the DA investigators, you should give them my phone number. One story in the paper about that, and every First Amendment Attorney in the area will be begging to represent them in a suit against the city.
Robert Rogers
Serenah,
thanks, as always, for writing.
Robert
Rev. Voight,
Thanks for your comments.
Serenah posted a comment about Kevin Hawkins. It appeared to me to smack of bigotry, so I erased it, as that violates our very permissive policies.
I have not called Serenah a racist. I inferred her comment to have a bigoted tone.
Perhaps that was not her intent. If I misunderstood her intent, I am sorry.
That said, the comment will stay erased, and comments like it will be erased as well.
As you can see by the above stuff that I let fly, Serenah is welcome to write nearly anything she wants.
So thank you again Rev. Voight for writing. I appreciate your insights.
Good luck in your pursuits.
Robert Rogers
So the story is about "some words" of serena that you deleted, or about facts ?
Mr Rogers, you seem to have an agenda.
No agenda here, just reporting and keeping the dialogue flowing.
As I've said again and again, Serenah and everyone else are free to comment.
I deleted a comment Serenah wrote about Hawkins.
Now I'm curious ... Serenah, what, exactly is Mr. Hawkins' history that you keep alluding to?
Robert Rogers
Oh well ...
I asked.
Robert
I have an idea.
Serenah, why don't you explain to everyone what "Operation Phoenix is about"?
If I had to guess, I'd say that your theory is that the program is just a cover for ripping children from families and putting them into the state's care, at a profit of course.
Is that right? Please explain. I'm giving this a shot, since you apparently don't want to substantiate the remarks you made, and I deleted, about Kevin Hawkins.
Robert
To call Patience a racist could not be further from the truth.
She is a conceerned mother of two, citizen like you and a vet. patriot. Who was on the ready so people like you could try to discredit her for coming home to serve on the home front for our freedoms and rights such as you here have taken such liberties towards this woman!
Serenah,
I haven't erased any of your posts. You simply haven't answered my questions.
It seems clear that you have NO evidence and that you, for whatever reason, want to lead people to believe that there is some conspiracy that does not exist.
Please don't call me anymore. I'm not interested.
Robert Rogers
I've only erased 1 post from you, and you know why.
As for the one above, which you keep claiming I disallowed, it is right there. Maybe you're having some computer user issues? Dunno, but I am not deleting anything.
By the way, what is the significance of Morris sitting on the board of the Children's Fund (which he co-founded)?
Thanks,
Robert
Mr. Rogers,
There is tons of information that can prove corruption in the CPS system. It is from the East coast to the West Coast. It would be wonderful if a reporter would take the interests of the children to heart, and truly uncover this. I personally have researched Kansas. The facts are there how children are removed from their parents. 80.3% of children in state (KS) custody are because of non abuse non neglect. Here in Wichita, KS, our DA is not interested in convicting child molestors. Children are placed in state custody for runaway, truancy, and "out of control" behavior. This is no conspiracy, this is fact. The (federal) DHHS website has information on all grants (from our social security tax dollars) for each state. Once the state gets their greedy hands on this money, they disburse it amongst their "subcontractors". Radical groups have chipped away at our civil rights and used terms to make the people believe it is for something different. And before you know it, it becomes part of state laws. I would hope you would check out the information provided to you.
Sincerely,
Grace, SaltoftheEarth2008
