Bank's legal tussle with San Bernardino Pastor

| | Comments (2) |

We broke the story months ago about how Mount Zion Baptist Church Pastor T. Elliott was mistakenly arrested and held briefly in local jail due to a record-keeping error at Arrowhead Credit Union.

Elliott is sueing the union.

On Monday, Judge Wade rejected most of the bank's moves to dismiss Elliott's case. Elliott's attorney, Greta Curtis, told me Monday night that her client's case is solidified by the judge's ruling and that she expects the bank will look to settle out of court.

Of COURSE he's suing! And he'll being in Al and The Rev to town to make waves for him. When Elliott sees a buck, he runs after it!

How would you, Shan, like to be handcuffed and paraded around Staters in front of your friends and neighbors for doing NOTHING wrong, but be a name onm a report by mistake. I would like to see you sit by and do nothing while your reputation is trashed by a corporate giant like the Arrowhead Credit Union who is mad with you for supporting political candidates that they did NOT support. Those might have even been candidates that were supported by your PAC money you paid to the credit union but for candidates you did NOT support. You're darn right you would be one of the first to demand your name be cleared via a lawsuit. But we know in the court of public opinion, your name is never really cleared, is it? Maybe a law suit and a news story reporting the truth that you were not only not guilty, but that it was actually a staff error that could have been easily rectified is your only saving grace. If he gets any money for his humiliation then he deserves it.
