People in the newsroom: Jason Pesick
As I've said before, I particularly like the idea of using the blog to occasionally provide a glimpse into our world. I think it's a good thing for community readers to get to know the newspaper and the people who produce it just a bit beyond a name that appears above articles ...
So, I give you Jason Pesick, pictured below while at work on Thursday.
Pesick is a respected reporter. He has worked at The Sun since 2006, starting as a city reporter for Rialto before becoming an evening general news reporter and online specialist earlier this year.
At 24, (I originally posted 23, but he just had a birthday) Pesick is one of the younger - perhaps the youngest - reporter in the newsroom. But don't let his age fool you. The University of Michigan grad's strengths are his thoughtfulness, patience and wisdom beyond his years.
Pesick is the type of reporter who sees angles and uncertainties in issues that others wouldn't even consider. Along with Andrew, he is probably my favorite debating antogonist. Soft-spoken and always receptive to new ideas - signs of the wisdom I mentioned - Pesick is one of the best at internalizing and then articulating all the nuances of a particular topic.
And he is deeply pained by the recent slide of Michigan's vaunted football program.
So now you just might conjure a thought or two the next time you see Jason's byline above one of his solid articles.

And some very good-looking ones!
Jason,
Please stop complimenting yourself under pseudonyms.
Thanks!
Robert

Agreed, he is!

He is adorable! I second that! Or third it, I guess!
I am beginning to think I have Lambert all wrong. What the hell is he doing importing a Wolverine to Southern California?
By the way...can someone tell me what the hell a "saluki" or is it "salookie" is?
I have no idea...
By the way Pesick...how did you like getting beat down by my Trojans?

The Wolverines are University of Michigan's mascots.
I got that right after I sent my comment, thanks.
The Trojans ROCK!
