Inland Empire choir wins Los Angeles competition

Mt. Rubidoux Seventh-day Adventist Church choir, choreographed by Rev. Bronica Martindale of the Church of the Nazarene in San Bernardino, won both the People's Choice and Overall Winner awards at the Oct. 13 regional competition in Los Angeles.

The choir, composed of San Bernardino and Riverside county residents, will compete Nov. 8 in the How Sweet the Sound national choir competition in Atlanta.

The 35-member choir, under the direction of Alan Woodson, was awarded $15,000 in prize money.
