Note on removal of comments
An anonymous reader (or readers) has noticed, and complained that some comments were removed from a previous blog post.
The comments were removed because the people who posted the comments were not debating issues. The comments were personal attacks including accusations of mental illness or worse.
We will not remove comments that are critical of public officials or The Sun's coverage of news. In fact, I think it's incredibly disingenuous to accuse us of such, when so many people have been free to criticize the policies and actions of just about anyone in the city. The deleted remarks contained very little, if not zero content that could be considered political commentary.
We do not screen comments before posting, but we reserve the right to remove postings that are not anything close to the editorial standards of The Sun or other American newspapers.
I realize this is their site and that they are going to post "pro-Morris" agenda however it isn't right and I won't let it happen quietly.
That is how this town has fallen into ruin....years ago nobody said that buying the Arden-Guthrie projects and selling them to a buyer that only had to live there for a short period of time before they could just rent them out was not a good idea.....recently the city had to purchase them AGAIN and tear them down. Now they are looking at buying The Meridiens to do the same thing - tear them down and rebuild. Are they going to tear down the whole city and rebuild?
Same thing with Operation Phoenix.....everybody went along with it based on their trust in Pat Morris....well, we all know how that is playing out - and do they listen to our complaints? I know that my councilperson isn't.
What about Chief Billdt? I wasn't impressed after his "interim" year (and I know others who felt the same) but Morris signed him up for more....and look at where we are.
If the dissenters don't make noise (on whatever forum open to us - and it's not at City Hall) then the opposition in this city will never be heard. Everyone needs to remove their rose colored glasses that were handed out by the Morris group and look around.
The crime rate is horrible - and they LIE to us about it. The Police Department is rife with internal strife. Look at the lawsuits this city has coming.....from molestation victims, from our own police officers, from the fire-fighters union, etc. Where are they going to find the money? Pat Morris has his pinkies in the til for more Operation Phoenix money. We are becoming the Social Services Captial of the Inland Empire....now there is something to be proud of - forget All American City. Add that to Murder Capital of the Inland Empire.
Steve Lambert, Pat Morris and Jim Morris can try to silence us but it will only happen if we let them.
Here's a question for The Sun.....
While Robert was here this blog was hopping with stuff about the Police Department meltdown - the POA up in arms, the Police Chief and his attempt to "strong-arm" the professor, etc.
All stuff that neither Morris wanted to see in print....where is it now? Has everything resolved itself? Is it a "lovefest" between Billdt and the POA? What about Operation Phoenix? What is going on there? Where is the info on these on-going issues that citizens want to know about - have a right to know about! That is what made this blog.....
It's being CENSORED! That is why this is a big deal!
