Waiting for the midnight hour

| | Comments (0) |

The City Clerk's Office is engaged in a last-minute effort to help residents register to vote.

Clerk's office employee Myra Ochiqui and former Assemblyman John Longville sat at a table outside Council Chambers at City Hall during tonight's City Council meeting while last-minute registrants came by. They plan to be in business until midnight, after which it will be too late to register to vote in the Presidential Election.

Ochiqui said that by around 6:45 p.m. about 50 people had visited City Hall to register.
