Looks like Mr. Hawkins and Mr. Kelley found some more money for the fifth ward, not in the budget again, like the graffitti crews we now have. How much will this cost the city and not have money to maintain it.
Between Morris and the Operation Phoenix, and Kelley/ Brinker and their new graffitti machines and city crews, there must be a hidden treasure somewhere.
How much will the construction of this park cost the city? Maintenance costs?
How about fire crews on down time to maintain streets and parks, just hang trash bags and lawn mowers, rakes and shovels, on the back of the fire trucks and send them out in the community to use their time more efficiently when not fighting fires. They can use i-pods to train with while doing civic work . No lay offs there.

The city is talking about laying off police and fire, but yet has the money to open a new park? All I have to say is WOW! Very interesting. They tell us we may be losing public safety, but in the interim, let's open a new park. Go figure!

Why build another park when the City can't even take care of the ones that already exist! Seccombee Lake is right in the middle of the City and it's a eye sore to residents. This park is contaminated with perverts that wait in the parking lot just to go and pleasure each other in the public restrooms, drug dealers doing business, trash everywhere and every so often the scene of a crime or murder! Instead of building new parks, we should at least put up security cams, more restrictions on park usages, and increase maintenace on the parks that we already have. How can our children and families enjoy a day at the park with sexual predators around!!! Where is all this money coming from? Why do libraries have to close instead of providing knowledge and a safe heaven for the community? Shame on San Bernardino!!!

Now people! Chas is in his "beautification" phase....we need more parks, murals, and palm trees.
They are all useful! The palm trees will make wonderful weapons - just pull them out of the ground since they are now dead and you can "thwak" the next gang banger that tries to graffiti your wall with it.......however it's limited to the first dozen residents......
The parks can host all of our homeless....a nice place to sleep, and the homies can hang too......plan their next job.
The murals, well, I can think of anything useful about them but it makes Chas look good.....
And the park has Reagan's name on it - and he's being a good little Republican.

So we are creating another park even though the crews that are supposed to take care of the parks are getting laid off. If we can't take care of the parks we have what makes the councilman think we can take care of an extra park with a smaller staff? Will the people of the 5th ward be proud of their councilman when they have this park but reduced police and fire services? I ask this in all seriousness. Could the councilman reply please?

yeah, we will see how Chris feels about his new park when he needs a policeman or fireman to come to his aid. Let's see if your councilman does anything about that.
