Excuse to write about Manny Ramirez in a San Bernardino blog

His suspension really fouls up my fantasy team. Andre Ethier really needs to step up.

Mr. Manny Ramirez like so many other super rich professional athletes makes so much money, they feel they can gamble with the rules of the sport. If they get caught, oh well, they still have plenty of money even after the fines are paid. He and others like him are why it costs so much to attend any sport games which is sad at best. Until stern action is taken, other athletes will continue to take banned drugs that effect performance. In Mr. Ramirez’ case, he should be banned from professional sports in this country effective immediately. He not only gave his sport a black eye, but also the role model he represents has also been tarnished. Once athletes are booted from the sport for drug use, it use will stop being found in the sport. Say good-bye to this bum and every other bum caught taking any kind of drugs.

A little harsh there Sports Fan. You ever take any caffeine products to remain alert? If yes, then you should fired, kicked out or banned for doing so. He's the one losing millions for being an idiot, not you. Get over it!

Victoria,
That was harsh, wanting to fire a coffee drinking sports fan.
How about those fans in the stands with beer and what ever they had before they got there?
Any enhancement chemical ,whether downer or upper, sideways or what ever, takes the true value of the concept of physical fitness in sports to a lower level and deminishes the value of competition, winning and losing fairly.
You are right , that even coffee could be an enhancement, but to compare drug abuse in sports to drinking coffee at work, then the idea of illegal once again gets lowered to something like "UN-DOCUMENTED".
There is new generation constantly being formed, and sports can influence those new generations just as the "NUT-SO VIDEOS" that treat killing, blood and guts and crime as "normal life and not really so bad".

For Victoria…

Harsh, yes but it needs to be. Last I looked, there was a big drug problem in AMERICA and this is just part of it. Not to say that it is against the law. If you feel it is OK because it is him, then I guess you feel the same about other crimes,(rape, murder, robbery that all have been tied to drug use/addiction) they are OK as long as it does not touch you or your family. It is that kind of thinking that has put AMERICA on a collision course with disaster. YOU need to look no farther than MEXICO and the cartels. What a fun place to go and visit today!! More deaths have occurred due to the drug trafficking at the Mexican boarders last YEAR (16,000+) than the entire 10+ year war in IRAQ. You must be blind to the fact that it is the innocents that suffer the most (often) with the effects of drugs and alcohol. But that is OK per your train of thinking. BTW, I don’t drink coffee but if I did, you must remember, it is not against the law.
