Highway 2 reopens today

Highway 2, the mountain road that connects Wrightwood to Los Angeles, completely reopened Wednesday after the multi-year closure of a 10-mile stretch of the highway.

The road was damaged during the winter of 2004-05 and again in 2006.

A $10.5 million Caltrans project included a new bridge about 10 miles west of Wrightwood.
