$1,000 fine!
The city has a big warning on its Web site reminding residents that illegal fireworks use will result in $1,000 fines for those who get caught with prohibited pyrotechnics.
City law makes it illegal to light any fireworks north of the 210 Freeway. It's also unlawful to set off fireworks in public streets, parks or parking lots. The fine is also applicable to people using dangerous fireworks or "safe and sane" fireworks in an unsafe and insane manner.
"Safe and sane" fireworks have an official seal on the packaging marking them as such. Fireworks with packaging marked with notifications like "Warning: Shoots flaming balls" are not legal in San Bernardino.

So what?!? A warning - that is all it is....I've called year after year about fireworks being set off in the street, even in an intersection off of D Street (and they were in 2 liter soda bottles, basically making a mini-bomb) and they didn't show for over 3 hours. By then the offenders were long gone because they didn't live in the neighborhood.
Yeah, yeah....they tickets X number of people last year....well, it wasn't in my neighborhood but I live south of the 30 so it doesn't matter.
What are you, like 50 or 60yrs old? You call year after year? Jesus lady, either go to bed early, go out of town that day, or hell, how about remembering what it was like when you were a kid!
And for all of you Gia Supporters: Assuming personal safety prompted Miss Persistant Gia in the first place; if the parents watched their kids, they'd probably be a lot less injuries.
Poor Gia: just outta curiosity- what the hell do you do the remaining 364 days?
R U Serious
The other 364 days of the year:
WE ARE DODGING YOUR ATTITUDES IN YOUR:
DRIVING,
LITTERING,
GRAFFITTI TRAILS,
LACK OF GUIDANCE FOR YOUR RUG RATS,
GENERAL DISRESPECT FOR OUR CONCERNS FOR SAFETY ,
AND SEEING YOUR GENERAL IGNORANCE ON THE DANGERS OF FIREWORKS IN A VERY FLAMABLE AREA OF TOWN.
Your comments here represent our very concerns for the under 50s (as you alude to, who could care less that the older generation and those who lost their loved ones, appendages, homes and belongings to fire)that we would try and alert your dense minds to the dangers before you or any one else suffers a loss.
But you will do it any way and we will call it in, and yes, you may get away with it again, but pray, that: "What goes around, does'nt come around" to you or your loved ones.
Fire works have been the sparkle of the American Spirit on the fourth for almost 240 years. But it need not be the "Sparkle in the dry brush, home roof, out buildings, or tree crowns" to ruin some one's day.
I hope you can see this for what it is. Please respect others and help more like you and your loved ones have that same respect and have a safe "Fourth of July" for every one!!!!
NOT A WHOLE LOT TO ASK, IS IT???
YEAH! & NO SALT, EITHER! IT'S BAD FOR YOU!
