Mr. Morris goes to Washington
Mayor Pat Morris' office announced Thursday that he has been invited to visit the White House next week to discuss anti-crime programs.
According to the Mayor's Office, he and other American mayors - as well as police chiefs and other figures, are set to meet with Attorney General Eric Holder to talk about how the federal government can assist local law enforcement.

and this will better the city in what way?.....is Mr Morris paying his own way?....and how many lackies will jump on board to be part of some B.S...meeting?...lets see....Jimmy Morris......Eshter Estrada....what a load of crap....maybe they invited him so they have a less than desirable city they can point out and show what happens when subpar people are elected into government...maybe Morris can take Operation Pheonix nationwide...so pedophiles across the country can take pictures....
Are you kidding?! Do you realize how many crimes are committed under the Operation Phoenix name?! I'm tempted to pay a visit to the AG's office and tell the AG how Morris' Operation Phoenix has damaged the relations between the public and law enforcement AND how O.P. helps feed non-profits Morris is tied to!
WHAT A CROCK!
That's it!
It is government corruption when a governmental official uses their position to impede criminal investigation (I.E.: the Miller case). It is also government corruption when a mayor who sits on the boards of directors to C.P.S. contracted agencies causes C.P.S. to pay visits to areas they are not called to for a particular concern! It bolsters foster care ratios and destroys society! I'm so glad I did what I did yesterday!
This is a man who kept 3-strikers and many drug dealers out of prison. What could he possibly tell the AG about reducing crime or what we need? Unless he's offering to put up more homeless, sex offenders and parolees in exchange for more stimulus money. I don't think so. What a waste of money but he's laying the ground work for his son's future congressional career, isn't that right, Jimmie???
OMG, Jimmy Morris isn't going ANYWHERE in politics. We put the rubber stopper on that door about 6 months ago. Don't worry.
Oh, please, help me...I have got to know...what rubber stopper is that? Those Morris' have penetrated so many areas of patronage, you just wonder where else they might pop up????
Are you kidding that the National League of Cities truly believes that Op Phoenix actually works? I thought they were smarter than that. What works is a very strong law enforcement presence like extra cops, sheriff, chp, etc. That is what worked here to drive down gang and drug crime. Is it any wonder that when Morris got off the bench as the drug court second chance judge that drug addicts and dealers finally got the sentences they deserve? No wonder crime is down. It only makes sense. Op Phoenix is not the solution, it has perpetuated county jobs. I wish someone with some knowledge actually researched the issues here. I would hate any other city to invest the money that has been wasted here on a program that sounded wonderful but did not solve the problem. It is amazing that bureaucrats believe other bureaucrats and the beat and bureaucracy goes on....
A program started by San Bernardino City Mayor, Patrick J. Morris, supposedly developed to stop gang activity is being considered in Washington. The program, dubbed “Operation Phoenix,” is supposed to be a collaboration between law enforcement, social services, code enforcement and many others to “reach the community” through community centers, sweeps in high crime neighborhoods and block parties held to help “expose residents to services available to them.” These “services” are the judicial system, welfare, Child Protective Services/foster care, and code enforcement citations.
Since it’s inception, Operation Phoenix has purportedly lowered crime statistics; however, Steve Tibbetts, Criminology Professor at CSUSB, differs. Apparently, many crimes that would have been classified as “violent” crimes prior to Operation Phoenix have been reclassified to make it appear as if Operation Phoenix is actually working to lower crime when nothing could be further from the truth. It was reported that prior police chief, Michael Billdt, attempted to bully the professor into recanting his statement, but it did not work.
One of the community centers had a man (Mike Miller) working there with no actual job description who was paid $144K per year with full access to children. This resulted in the alleged molestation of at least three children. These community centers had issues: football & no pumps; social workers trolling for potential C.P.S. cases and nudie pic sessions between other staff members and strange women.
The “sweeps” were the worst. “Sweep” is another term for “raid” so, essentially, Operation Phoenix did raids on the poor parts of town, pretty much door to door with law enforcement, C.P.S. (Child Protective Services), code enforcement and a “part time” district attorney hired (who was paid $111K per year) to nit-pick residents for any reason to cite, arrest them and take their children into the foster care system. Teenagers were stopped, searched and ran for warrants, criminalized for simply walking around their own blocks. Complaints of officer misconduct were rampant, but residents were intimmidated into not talking.
Patrick J. Morris sits on the boards of directors to many C.P.S. contracted agencies, including but not limited to “The Children’s Fund.” For all intents and purposes, his agencies make money whenever a child is taken into the foster care system and his program bolsters foster care ratios through the proverbial roof. Now, he intends upon unleashing his program thruout the whole United States of America. That’s right! He’s going to Washington with Operation Terrorization. What is America going to do about it?
Come on, now...I hear she's a devoted wife. Leave Peggi out of this. She's just doing her job as his assistant. She is not sleeping with him...Trust me...I'd have found it out and exposed it by now if it were going on. Andrew, could you get rid of those posts about Peggi, please? It's not her fault her boss is a monster. She's just trying to make a living.
