Local Dems announce endorsements

The San Bernardino County Democratic Party has announced endorsements in two City Council races.

The races are officially non partisan.

The Democratic Party has endorsed Virginia Marquez and Dennis Baxter.

Marquez, a part-time field representative for Rep. Joe Baca, D-San Bernardino, is challenging incumbent Esther Estrada to represent the city's 1st Ward.

Baxter is defending his 2nd Ward seat against business owner Jason Desjardins.

Andrew, does this mean they're going to support Morris, too? I certainly hope not. They're going to look awfully stupid for supporting a mayor who encouraged cops to violate civil rights and it wound up getting a 21 year old man shot dead in the streets. What a messed up theory Morris has! He seems to think that the constitution is just a scrap of paper.

The county Democratic Party is not issuing endorsements for the mayoral nor the 4th Ward council race.

The Democratic Party is a Tim Prince org. Tim is supporting Rick Avila. The 4th Ward only has Republicans running. As far as Marquez is concerned, she is a Morris flunky, hired and funded by Baca. Unbelievable.
