Mayoral Race: Rick Avila's economic development platform
These are mayoral candidate Rick Avila's ideas on economic development. They are copied directly from a campaign flier that Avila provided in response to a request for a statement.
- I will stop the waste of tax payers dollars.
- I will restore our graffiti program and create a graffiti prevention & intervention program which has never been done before in San Bernardino.
- I will create jobs within the city of San Bernardino starting with the refuse department (transfer station & recycling center) owned & operated by city employees.
- I will immediately hire the adequate man power to clean on ramps; off-ramps; street, sidewalks and all city owned land. As mayor If I'm going to sell & advertise my city I have to clean my city.
I will make sure that our Senior Citizen Residential Complexes are safe. I also envision a Senior Citizen area around these complexes. I want everyone to know that I will take care of our seniors.
- I will reach out to homeowners and assist them from losing there homes.
- I will make sure our Police & Fire Departments have adequate man power to provide the best public safety for residents of San Bernardino.
- I pledge to you that I am seeking this responsible job for you and your family. I want to improve the quality of life and make you proud of the changes that I will do to improve the city.
