Some kind of announcement in store for National Orange Show Events Center
A press release states that the National Orange Show Events Center and Lewis Group of Companies are scheduled to make a major announcement tomorrow regarding a plan to "transform the National Orange Show Property into a vibrant, multi-use regional destination."
No further details were immediately available.

Looks like no more raves
Why was there no report in the Sun about the Nocturnal Festival? I was roughly fifty blocks to the north, and I heard the thump thump thump all night long. And then fireworks went off at 2 AM? Yet, a brief story in the PE and RDF, but the newspaper of record in San Bernardino has nothing to say. It would be nice to read facts about what happened and how this was allowed (Fire Marshal needs to permit fireworks, yes, even if NOS is a state agricultural fair.
At this point, after two very destructive raves requiring heavy police actions away from the rest of the community, and losing $ and the fact that the "Orange Show" ==== Is NO LONGER JUST THAT " an Orange Show":
DOZE THE DAM THING AND MAKE IT A COMMERCE CENTER, WITH BUS AND RAIL DEPOT, OR WHAT EVER, BUT LEAVE THE STADIUM FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE WHO LIKE CRASH AND BURN.
Oh, wait a minute, that is what the "raves" are all about.
No more riots, raves and carnivals for hoodlums, drugs, etc.
Now Lewis has an Idea , let's see what their minds have created. I hope it includes "bull dozers".
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMM??????????
So what was the BIG announcement?
its an events center, a place that requires permits, police, fire,EMT who work overtime to keep it safe and peaceful. As stated above "At this point, after two very destructive raves requiring heavy police actions away from the rest of the community, and losing $ "
this is not true, all police, fire,EMT who work at events at the Orange Show are all volunteers who get payed overtime...This was not some underground rave, there is a zero tolerance policy just like every other type of event, its a music festival that has 15 years of professional organization/production. City workers and police, fire department are present to keep these festivity's safe and in order.
If it is not true, did you read the paper regarding the destruction, drugs and assaults and damage done to businesses around the NOS, particularily the big one a couple of years ago??????????
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM??
"Safe and in order"???????? do you read the paper???
"Zero Tolerance"??????????? try reading the paper!
When the volunteers get overwhelmed , who do they call, LA county sheriff? Or Orange county sheriff? Certainly not SBPD, according to your calling my comment not true. Who were those Squads driven by ,that are owned by SBPD??? Could they have been our "guys in Blue"?? But that's not true, or is it?
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?
Doze the place, no events center. Let the Pharohs Kingdom have the fun of riots if you will.
