After watching Colton destroy Marina in the OC last night, somewhat (but not entirely) validating my existence as a prognosticator, I’ve decided to give some more picks for tonight’s games.

As much as I think Jessica Simpson was great in Dukes of Hazzard, the movie stunk, so straight to the picks.

The CBL division
Redlands East Valley at Eisenhower
The Eagles have been a heck of a story thus far. After going 1-9 and having a hard time being competitive a year ago, they are off to a 3-0 start this year. Yes, they didn’t exactly beat the 1985 Bears during that stretch, but they are winning games they wouldn’t have a year ago. However, REV is playing at a whole other level. They’ll take this game resoundingly.
Redlands East Valley 38, Eisenhower 14

Carter at Redlands
Did you expect both of these teams to come into this game winless? I sure as heck didn’t. Neither of these teams are that far off though, as the Terriers have been competitive against a schedule which included CIF-Inland Division No. 2 Vista Murrietta, while Carter could have easily beaten two of its three Baseline league opponents. The loser of this game will be in a hole.
Redlands 16, Carter 13

Miller at Fontana
There should be some yards and points in this game. The Rebel spread has been serving up teams like a bar and grill, while the one-two rushing punch of Damien Ephraim and David Dash have guided the Steelers. Expect some fireworks early, but Miller to assert its will in the second half.

Yucaipa at Rialto
The under-the-radar game, as both the Thunderbirds and the Knights have flown under the radar in their 1-2 starts. I think Yucaipa’s physical offensive line and corresponding running game should be enough against a shorthanded Rialto team.

The nonleague division
Colony at Serrano
If it wasn’t for the CBL opening up shop, this would easily be the game of the weekend. You have two undefeated No. 1-ranked teams in CIF (Colony in the Central, Serrano in the Eastern) that both play physical offense and defense. However, Colony is a bad matchup for Serrano because of their athleticism and physicality. Serrano has impressed, but finally drops one tonight.

Arroyo Valley at Silverado
After winning three at home to start it off, the Hawks go on the road this week to play another brand of Hawks. I was greatly impressed by Robert Fuller in my first game to see him, but Silverado is coming off a game against Bloomington where their offense woke up. I like Arroyo, but I’m looking for Silverado to pull the minor upset here.
Silverado 24, Arroyo Valley 23

Kaiser at Los Osos
The Cats need a win. While Kaiser could go 0-5 and probably be OK in the Sunkist League, it certainly knows its not the way to go. However, this isn’t the matchup that will get that done. Los Osos is coming off a loss to Norco and won’t be too hospitable. If Los Osos puts up more than two touchdowns (it will) Kaiser will be toast.

Apple Valley at San Bernardino
Cardinal Stadiium is getting quite a workout, as San Berdoo is hosting its fourth home game of the year already. Apple Valley might not be the best guest though, as the Sun Devils have been blitzing through everything in its path. I don’t think this is a good thing for the Cardinals at all.

Alta Loma at Cajon
This should be an interesting matchup. You have the Braves, who might have the most stifling defense in the area, on one end. You have the Cowboys, with explosive junior running back Walter Kazee and developing quarterback Taylor Martinez, on the other. I wouldn’t expect much offense or scoring in this, with Alta Loma just doing enough to get by.

Hesperia at Barstow
The bye week can’t come soon enough for the Scorpions, who have had their share of bumps and bruises in their first four games. But its not all bad at Hesperia, which is only outscoring opponents 134-9. I’m confident that Barstow will finally get Hesperia into double digits in points allowed, but Hesperia will stay undefeated.

College
West Virginia (-7) at South Florida
While the Bulls won at Auburn a few weeks ago, their real coming out party came last November, when South Florida went into West Virginia and snuffed out the Mountaineers’ rushing game. West Virginia will be looking for revenge, but South Florida is a darkhorse BCS team in my mind. That horse will run tonight.
